Golf

Our championship 18-hole golf course is truly the crown jewel of The Woodlands Club. Designed by Jim and George Fazio and opened in 1988, we have hosted numerous state and regional championships for both men and women over the years. In the early years of the Club's existence, we hosted three Ben Hogan Tour events and one Nike Tour event, both of which are the equivalent of today's Korn Ferry Tour. We are thrilled to host the New England Amateur in 2023.

With nine different sets of tees to choose from, the course plays from 4,489 yards up to 6,856 yards from the championship tees. Tees, fairways, and greens are all bent grass. Recently, a state-of-the-art irrigation system was completed and installed to provide the membership with the finest course conditions in the state.

The Woodlands Club offers the finest private club practice facility in the state. The 50,000 square foot rye/bent grass practice range offers over 300 yards of hitting length. It is the ultimate experience for someone who likes to practice and improve their game. To compliment the driving range, we also have a short game practice area with two full sized putting and chipping greens, a bunker, full length rough and a tightly mown fairway area. A third bunker practice green is conveniently located near the first tee. All are maintained to the exact golf course standards for consistent conditions during play and practice.

Now, in the winter season, the Club is proud to offer the membership the Indoor Golf Studio. With two fully equipped Trackman simulators during the winter, members can keep their game sharp through play, practice, and participating in one of our many league and weekly game offerings. Our golf studio is a world class experience you will surely enjoy all winter long.

Our talented staff of PGA Professionals are here to assist you in every aspect of your golfing experience. Our staff includes recipients of the PGA Golf Professional of the Year, Teacher of the Year, and Player Development Award from the Maine Chapter - a reflection of the expertise and service you can expect. From instructional offerings, masterfully fit equipment, and a full-service golf shop, our team is here to make your day at The Woodlands Club a memorable one.

Programs

The Professional Staff is delighted to offer a variety of programs for golfers of all ages and ability levels. Very active men’s, women’s, and junior programs are available to take advantage of for all player levels. The calendar offers a robust tournament program featuring both fun and competitive options to suit your needs and interests. Instructional offerings are available in group and individual settings throughout the season. The Club also hosts multi-vendor demo days all season long so the membership can see and feel the latest and greatest in golf equipment.

Golf Pro Shop

The Woodlands Club Golf Shop offers a wonderful array of shopping selections in all categories. From apparel and footwear to golf equipment and accessories. The Golf Shop, along with our knowledgeable Professional Staff, are here to provide you with a great shopping experience. With apparel lines like Peter Millar, Greyson, Footjoy, Adidas, and Sunice to name a few, members are provided with options to tailor to their specific tastes. Looking to get properly fit for your next set of golf equipment? Our talented team of Professional Fitters are certified and offer a full compliment of options from vendors such as Callaway, TaylorMade, Titleist, Ping, and Srixon for you to try and test out. In 2020, our Professional Staff and Golf Shop were honored with the Maine PGA Merchandiser of the Year award in the private club category.
